HKA Bolsters Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages Practice with Three Expert Hires

HKA, a leading global consulting firm, has recently announced the addition of three seasoned experts to its forensic accounting and commercial damages (FACD) practice in the United States. The new hires – K. Scott Van Meter, Pamela Verick, and Alexander Lee – bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the firm.

K. Scott Van Meter joins HKA as a partner based in Houston, with over 35 years of experience in litigation consulting, bankruptcy and restructuring, valuation, and forensic accounting. Van Meter has served as an expert witness in numerous disputes across North America and Europe, making him a valuable asset to the FACD practice. Prior to joining HKA, he held leadership roles at reputable firms such as B. Riley Financial, Secretariat, BRG, Navigant, and LECG.

Pamela Verick, the new principal at HKA’s Washington, DC office, specializes in fraud risk management and compliance programs. With over 25 years of experience, Verick brings a deep understanding of bribery and corruption risk, ethics and integrity, and fraud governance. Her previous roles at Protiviti and KPMG have equipped her with the skills needed to navigate complex fraud and misconduct investigations.

Alexander Lee, the newest director at HKA’s New York City office, has a strong background in accounting, business valuations, and damages quantification. Lee has testified and prepared expert reports for disputes in various industries, showcasing his expertise in providing strategic solutions to clients. His previous experience at AlixPartners, FTI Consulting, and KPMG has prepared him for the challenges of the FACD practice.

Ave Tucker, partner and strategic growth advisor at HKA, expressed excitement about the new additions to the team, stating, “As we continue expanding our FACD practice across the Americas, we are excited to welcome Scott, Pam, and Alex to our team. These experts are well known in their respective fields and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help as we grow our business and continue to provide innovative solutions to our clients.”

In addition to the recent hires of Van Meter, Verick, and Lee, HKA has also welcomed several other senior hires to its FACD practice, further solidifying its position as a leader in forensic accounting and commercial damages consulting.
