Becker Introduces Tax Representation Training in Collaboration with Tax Rep Network

Becker Launches Tax Representation Training in Partnership with Tax Rep Network

Becker Partners with Tax Rep Network to Launch Tax Representation Training for Accounting Professionals

In a strategic move to meet the growing educational needs of tax practitioners, Becker, a leading provider of accounting exam prep and professional education, has teamed up with Tax Rep Network to offer tax representation training. This partnership aims to equip tax professionals with the necessary skills to represent taxpayers in front of the IRS, a crucial service in today’s increasingly complex tax landscape.

The training program will feature a series of webcasts and on-demand continuing professional education (CPE) courses designed for tax practitioners and firms looking to expand their services. The first webcasts are now available for registration and purchase through Becker’s catalog and website.

Angie Brown, vice president of product development at Becker, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “Becker is thrilled to announce this collaboration with Tax Rep Network as part of our commitment to meeting the educational needs of tax practitioners across the accounting profession. This new partnership makes tax resolution training accessible to thousands of CPAs and enrolled agents, enabling them to take on clients in need of representation before the IRS.”

According to research, there are over 15 million taxpayers with back balances owed to the IRS, highlighting the urgent need for tax representation services. Eric Green, founder of Tax Rep Network, emphasized the importance of this training in light of increased IRS enforcement, stating, “With today’s heightened IRS enforcement, there is no better time for tax practitioners to learn about the IRS enforcement process and how to assist clients in resolving tax issues.”

The training program will cover a range of topics, including IRS enforcement of individuals, examinations of cash-intensive businesses, the IRS collection process, and insider secrets to tax liens. New webcasts will be added monthly to provide ongoing education and support to accounting professionals.

Corporate CPE clients will have access to tax resolution webcasts and on-demand courses at no additional charge, with the option to purchase the Tax Rep Network Gold Membership for customized training events. The webcasts and on-demand courses will be integrated into Becker’s Prime subscription starting in August, with a new subscription for enrolled agents launching in September.

For those interested in enhancing their tax representation skills or providing training to their staff, webcasts and CPE credits can be accessed through Becker’s website. This partnership between Becker and Tax Rep Network represents a significant opportunity for accounting firms to grow their revenue while supporting clients in navigating complex tax issues.
