SB Partners LLP Partner Trevor Hood Elected as Director for Ontario at CBV Institute

SB Partners LLP Partner and President Valuations Trevor Hood has been elected as the Director for Ontario at the Chartered Business Valuators Institute (CBV) for a three-year term. With over 30 years of experience, Hood specializes in business valuation, forensic accounting, litigation support, corporate finance, and private investment across various businesses.

In a statement, Hood expressed his excitement about the opportunity to work with fellow Board Members to further enhance the reputation of the CBV Institute both nationally and internationally. He highlighted the increasing complexity of business valuation services in areas such as litigation, succession planning, and merger and acquisition transactions.

Having obtained his CBV designation in 2003, Hood is also a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and certified in financial forensics. He is known for his expertise in family law, mergers and acquisitions, income tax, and succession planning-related valuations, particularly in the private enterprise sector. Hood also collaborates with various law associations to educate lawyers on the importance of business valuations in family law matters.

Janice Pomerleau, Managing Partner at SB Partners, commended Hood’s election as a Regional Director, emphasizing his dedication and competence in the Valuations Profession. Pomerleau highlighted the firm’s appreciation for the diverse knowledge that each partner brings to the table and expressed pride in Hood’s recognition by his peers.

Hood’s election as Director for Ontario at the CBV Institute underscores his commitment to advancing the business valuation profession and his outstanding contributions to the field.
