
Job Description: Finance and Operations Director for ACCE Project at Zimbabwe Health Interventions (ZHI)
Title: Zimbabwe Health Interventions Seeks Financial Reporting Specialist for ACCE Project
Zimbabwe Health Interventions (ZHI) is currently seeking a qualified individual to join their team as a Financial Reporting Specialist for the Accelerated and Comprehensive HIV Care for Epidemic Control in Zimbabwe (ACCE) project. This not-for-profit organization is dedicated to developing and delivering innovative and sustainable health interventions to communities in need.
Job Description:
The Financial Reporting Specialist will report to the Finance and Operations Director for the ACCE Project and will be responsible for providing constant financial reporting to the Senior Management Team (SMT) on the status of project budgets. Key responsibilities include reviewing and posting transactions, ensuring timely month-end close, and providing oversight on VAT claims and reporting for USAID.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare periodic financial reports for submission to SMT and the funder
- Assist in budget forecasting, monitoring, and financial reporting
- Analyze budget patterns and project expenditures
- Manage operational cash account and develop cash flow projections
- Monitor receivable accounts and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Review expenditures to ensure compliance with policies and regulations
- Assist HR in payroll preparation and statutory remittances
- Build capacity of finance staff in financial management support
- Support development of cost proposals for new funding opportunities
Qualifications and Experience:
- BS/BA degree in Accounting and Finance
- Professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACA, etc.) required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance management
- Familiarity with U.S. Government funding and donor programs
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
