Lanier, Westerfield & Deal Welcomes Kay Proctor as Partner
Kay Proctor has been announced as the newest partner at Lanier, Westerfield & Deal, a prominent CPA firm based in Georgia. With her addition, the firm will now be known as Lanier, Westerfield, Deal, & Proctor, CPAs.
Proctor brings a wealth of experience to the firm, having received her Masters of Accounting from Georgia Southern University and becoming a licensed certified public accountant in Georgia in 2003. Over the course of her 15-year career, she has developed expertise in financial statement preparation, auditing, forensic accounting, income tax, and business tax and advisory services.
One of Proctor’s passions is providing management advisory, tax, and consulting services for small and closely held businesses. She is also well-versed in accounting and auditing for nonprofit organizations and governmental entities, as well as forensic accounting, including investigative fieldwork and testimony.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Proctor is actively involved in various professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She has served on the Leadership Council of the Georgia Society and has been recognized as one of Statesboro Herald’s top 20 Under 40 business professionals.
Outside of work, Proctor is a dedicated member of her community, serving as treasurer and chair of the finance committee at Elam Baptist Church and volunteering with AWANA. She is married to Johnathon Proctor, a small business owner, and they have two children, Ian and Layla.
