Rob Shull Joins HKA as Partner in Toronto, Bringing Extensive Forensic Accounting Experience

HKA, a leading consulting firm specializing in risk mitigation and dispute resolution, has announced the addition of Rob Shull as a partner in its forensic accounting and commercial damages (FACD) practice based in Toronto. With over 25 years of experience in financial modeling, data capture, damage quantification, and class action litigation, Shull’s expertise will significantly enhance the firm’s capabilities in Canada.

Prior to joining HKA, Shull served as a managing director at PwC Canada in the forensics and disputes practice for eight years. He also spent 18 years at EY, where he held the position of VP in the fraud investigation and dispute services practice. Shull holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Saskatchewan and a diploma in investigative and forensic accounting from the University of Toronto. He is a certified public accountant and certified in financial forensics in the United States, as well as a chartered professional accountant and certified forensic investigator in Canada.

“We are excited to welcome Rob to the HKA team as we expand our Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages practice throughout Canada. Rob’s extensive experience will significantly enhance our FACD team’s capabilities. We look forward to working closely with him,” said Rick Moffat, partner and head of HKA’s Canada operations.

HKA recently bolstered its FACD practice in the US with new hires in Dallas and New York, focusing on fraud, forensic, and regulatory investigations for disputes such as breach of contract, IP, and M&A. Shull expressed his enthusiasm for joining HKA in Canada and collaborating with his new colleagues to assist clients with forensic accounting and commercial litigation matters.

Headquartered in London, UK, HKA has over 1,000 professionals across 45+ offices in 17 countries, including Canadian offices in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, and Vancouver. Earlier this year, the firm promoted Nader Akkaoui and Charles Bucci to partners in its Montreal office, further strengthening its presence in the Canadian market.
