Forbes Fava Saville Financial Planning Welcomes Gustavo Smarrini as General Manager of Operation

In a strategic move to bolster its leadership team, Forbes Fava Saville Financial Planning (FFSFP) has announced the appointment of Gustavo Smarrini to the pivotal role of General Manager of Operation. This new position within the company underscores FFSFP’s commitment to enhancing its strategic planning, business growth, and client engagement in the wake of its recent merger.

Earlier this year, Forbes Fava Financial Planning and Finanalyze Financial Planning merged to form FFSFP, a merger that promised to redefine the landscape of financial planning. With the integration now complete, the focus shifts to growth and operational excellence, a mandate that Smarrini is set to lead.

Cameron Forbes, FFSFP’s Senior Financial Adviser and Chief Executive, highlighted the importance of the new role, describing it as a "crucial keystone link" for the firm. Smarrini’s appointment is seen as a significant step towards strengthening FFSFP’s position in the competitive financial advice sector. "Gus’ depth of financial services experience and his proactive support for advisory practices make him the ideal choice for this role," Forbes stated.

Smarrini brings to the table a wealth of experience, having previously served as the Practice Development Manager at Insignia Financial for over 15 years, followed by a significant tenure at MLC/NAB. His background is expected to be instrumental in driving FFSFP’s strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, client communications, talent recruitment, and compliance.

One of Smarrini’s key priorities will be to foster a team-based approach within FFSFP, aiming to address current and future challenges in the financial advice sector. He is also tasked with creating pathways for career development within the firm, providing opportunities for both new entrants and seasoned professionals.

Reflecting on his new role, Smarrini expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities ahead. "This is an exciting time to join FFSFP. Our commitment to managed growth and a personalized boutique approach to financial advice aligns perfectly with my values," he said. Smarrini is eager to leverage his extensive experience to contribute to the firm’s mission of delivering professional advice and solutions that meet the evolving needs of their clients.

As FFSFP embarks on this new chapter, the addition of Gustavo Smarrini to the team is a clear indication of the firm’s dedication to excellence and innovation in the financial planning industry.
