Grant Thornton Elevates Philippa Hill and Vijay Rathour to Lead Forensic and Cyber Practices

In a strategic move to enhance its expertise in the areas of forensic and cyber investigations, Grant Thornton has appointed Philippa Hill and Vijay Rathour as the heads of the Forensic and Cyber practice leads in the UK.

Philippa Hill, with a remarkable seventeen-year tenure at Grant Thornton, brings a wealth of experience in accounting disputes and investigations. She is renowned for her expertise in professional negligence, accounting irregularities, and misconduct matters. In her new role, Philippa will lead a team of 13 partners and over 200 professionals, offering a comprehensive range of services including expert witness and advisory, forensic investigation, valuation dispute resolution, financial crime, and competition-related services.

Commenting on her appointment, Philippa emphasized the increasing demand for high-quality forensic services in today’s challenging economic and geopolitical landscape. She highlighted the team’s investigative skills, technical expertise, and creative problem-solving approach as key assets in handling complex and challenging cases for clients.

On the other hand, Vijay Rathour, a former barrister and solicitor with extensive experience in digital forensics, will lead Grant Thornton’s Cyber & Digital Investigations practice. Specializing in litigation support, electronic disclosure, hacking, incident response, and regulatory investigations, Vijay is well-equipped to address the evolving threats in the digital realm. He emphasized the importance of data analysis, cyber diligence, and operational resilience in supporting clients amidst increasing regulatory scrutiny and complexity in corporate environments.

With a strong team of over 200 partners and 5,000 professionals, Grant Thornton is a leading consulting firm in the UK, particularly in the forensic domain.
