Speaking at the university’s second convocation ceremony, Odufuwa highlighted the significance of sound human capital for the country’s future progress.

He stated that education is a crucial investment in human capital development, providing the necessary resources for economic growth. Odufuwa emphasized that education is essential for eliminating ignorance and developing the knowledge, skills, talents, and capacities of individuals.

Odufuwa stressed the need to properly impact the country’s people with knowledge, skills, and experience to enhance the human capacity of Nigeria. In his convocation lecture, Prof. Famous Izedonmi, Head of the Department of Accounting at the University of Benin and Chairman of the Governing Council of SWU, reiterated the crucial role of education in driving growth and development.
