New CEO appointed by CLA Global

Appointment of Paul English as CEO of CLA Global

Paul English has been appointed as the new CEO of CLA Global, a global organisation of independent accounting and advisory firms. English will be taking over from Sancho Simmonds and Joseph Kask, who have been serving as co-CEOs since the network was formed in July 2022.

During their tenure, Simmonds and Kask played a crucial role in recruiting high-quality firms to join CLA Global, which currently boasts 12 Network and 12 Alliance members worldwide. As the new CEO, English will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, overseeing network and membership development, and managing the membership organisation.

With over 20 years of experience in global and marketing leadership roles in professional services across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific, English brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. He previously held positions at Grant Thornton and RSM in the UK, as well as at boutique consulting firm Source.

English expressed his excitement about the opportunity to lead CLA Global, highlighting the organization’s ambition, entrepreneurial spirit, and emphasis on relationships, culture, and innovation. Scott Engelbrecht, chair of the CLA Global board, also expressed enthusiasm about the appointment, noting that English’s leadership will help elevate the organization’s efforts.

Founded in July 2022 by CliftonLarsonAllen LLP and Evelyn Partners, CLA Global currently has more than 180 offices worldwide and over 13,500 personnel across the network. With English at the helm, the organization is poised for continued growth and success in strategically important markets.
